Brett Raguse was born and educated in Queensland.
His family connections, to the Beaudesert and Boonah Shires, goes back to the late 1800’s with both his mother and father’s family descending from early settlers in the Fassifern and Beaudesert region.
With an early career in Graphic Arts and Media, Brett later attained Degrees in Education which led to him pursuing a further career in Teaching, Lecturing, TAFE Directorships; and private provision of training and educational programs both nationally and internationally.
After marrying, he lived in a number of townships within the Beaudesert Shire, building successive homes and raising four children. Typical family commitments brought Brett into contact with many people and fellow residents through work, his children’s schooling, sporting activities and social gatherings.
His involvement in a number of community groups and organisations also broadened his understanding of the business and social fabric of the Beaudesert Electorate.
While all of these acquaintances, business colleagues and friends enjoyed the same lifestyle, it was clear that more needed to be done to ensure our children had equal study, work and career opportunities.
Brett understands that with the intensive growth of development and demand for land in the Shire it has become important that a strong representative for the electorate negotiates a preferred future for its residents.
This means a strong voice for the appropriate development of facilities and services where they are needed; while maintaining the desired lifestyle for existing residents.
